The Ensemble Acoustique Express, that is a warm, powerful, and compact sound, played by thoroughbred musicians on acoustic instruments. Just like the hot swing grandmasters Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, driving rhythms and melodies go straight to the heart and legs. In an unusual mix for a jam session, with piano, guitar, double bass, and violin, the four musicians will give the harmonica a wonderful stage during the session in the Maschinenhaus.
The late-night session on Saturday will be opened by Sören Birke. The Berlin-based musician has been playing a varied repertoire ranging from blues to world music for more than 40 years. With his harmonica, he is always on a journey of discovery, ready to explore new terrain and connect with people and their music.
Ryan Donohue – double bass, vocals
Bernd Huber – violon, mandoline
Guido Raschke – e-piano
Sören Birke - harmonica (diat.)
