Black Patti have devoted themselves to the Afro-American blues and roots tradition. For many years guitarist and harmonica player Peter Crow C. has been travelling across Europe to perform at blues and jazz venues, and he has been winning audiences over with his virtuoso playing, powerful vocals and entertaining charm. Peter Crow C. found his musical counterpart with Mr. Jelly Roll and together as Black Patti they step beyond a purely traditional path, writing and arranging many of their own songs. In addition to guitar and vocals Mr. Jelly Roll plays the mandolin, an instrument that was very nearly lost to the blues to the blues tradition. On stage they take their audiences by storm. At the Harmonica F E N Festival they are accompanied by double bass player and singer Ryan Donohue from New Orleans.
